Bike Highway & Beyond

This is a mess! It is the major construction project that is providing plenty of stuck n go traffic along Broadway. There is going to be a light at the end of the tunnel really! The whole project will be completed later this year with a plaza, tunnel and Bike Highway! So don’t drive around here, but come sample the start to the Bike Highway!

Alternative Fueled Vehicles: Hybrid’s Included?

Who has the answer to this puzzle? Is it electric, cng, bio-fueled or Hybrid? I am assuming this Twin spot located in the NW parking lot at 29th St excepts all!

I believe they could easily add CarShare as an invitee!

A blog will be out soon about Cascade parking! What is that?

Aerial Rapid Transit

I wonder what the chances are that we get a Train between Longmont and Union Station are? My educated guess is that 1.7 Billion is not laying around for this to be built. I also recently heard that Light Rail in Houston is coming in at a bargain $80 million/mile. I don’t think the average US City has the appetite for these prices.

Now entering- the Aerial Approach! This will be less to implement and the idea has been around for a 100 years! Let’s get er done!

School Fowl Air Be Gone!

This is one of 4 signs parents! Air Quality is often a result of local and state efforts who are always challenged to produce results that have teeth!

Don’t think for a minute that this thing called good air quality happens by accident. We need to continue to ramp efforts to protect the young lungs that are busy learning!

We now are working on efforts to get signs posted at all Boulder County Schools with volunteers to back the plan at each location.

Fantastic Fish!

The next time you wonder down the
Goose Creek path on the east side of 30th take in the native trout species of Colorado. This project is brings out some spectacular colors to this off ramp wall.

I believe with some focused partnerships, we can turn the 76 Bike tunnels in Boulder into splendid works of art. This would really help turn an ugly eye against the waste of un-planned graffiti and create some opportunities for the swarm of artists located here!

No Love!

I know the City of Boulder is good at plowing the bike paths, but the bike lanes ia another story! I would give them a D on this part of their job. It is dangerous because it forces cars to jump into ongoing traffic because the bikes are forced out of the snowy bike lane! Bummer and please get it together in the future! This picture was taken on Walnut traveling east.

Pat the Pants

Who has spotted this in your public restroom? Are u adding to this before you walk outside on a hot summer day? This is one of the most wasteful human practices i see daily! Next time-pat the pants, wave the hands in the air a few seconds but don’t add to the pile!

No Electric Bikes Allowed!

For many years the City of Boulder has refused to address Electric Bikes and there place in the city limits.

Call me crazy, but we are using full powered motorcycles on our paths to find people? Talk about a very misplaced mode for the police!

Where are the E-Bikes?

Mayor Osborne goes Tunneling

Boulder Mayor Susan Osborne celebrates another cool tunnel! It is the 77th underpass/tunnel that the City of Boulder has added to make connections for our bike/ped system. The Mayor welcomed 28 people to the dedication that was held in the Ras Kasas parking lot. After all the credit was handed out and their delicious food was gone, people took a mini tour of the tunnels at 30th/ Pearl and then over to 30th/Goose Creek.

The Walking Tour featured brilliant local art dipicting African tile work and native Colorado fish!

I invite you to glide by!
